You're approx ~15 minutes from the picturesque Mabry Mill, quaint town of Meadows of Dan, and hiking spots such as the scenic Devil's Den Nature Preserve. ~20 minutes to downtown Hillsville for restaurants and groceries. ~25 minutes from local wineries.
SUPPLIES:
We provide basic cleaning supplies and dish soap, as well as a starter kit of paper towels and toilet paper. Bed linens and towels are also provided, along with basic amenities such as hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. For longer stays, you may want to bring a few extra towels and toiletries. We stock a starter kit of k-cups, creamer and sugar along with basic cooking oils and spices.
If you wish to use the firepit or charcoal grill please bring along firewood and charcoal, starter, etc.
OTHER DETAILS:
- The driveway is gravel and runs along the hillside to get to the cabin. If you're used to rural roads you may think nothing of it, but if it's your first time on the driveway, you may want to arrive in daylight to acclimate. It's not very long but it does slope at an incline to get down to the cabin from the main road. There is only parking for one vehicle and the parking space is just slightly larger than your average parking lot spot.
- There is a second cabin on the property that shares the driveway which you'll see beyond this cabin. It is a separate space but there may be other guests at that cabin during your stay. There is a carport area and tall tree that divide the spaces.

Summary: Tucked between the curvy back roads and rolling hills. This little place did not disappoint. At only 400 sq feet they have made a solid and quaint little get away that we unwillingly had to leave. Perfect couples get-away. I was in awe of all the sweetest little touches. The firepit by the creek, we made use of both nights we were there, so beautiful and peaceful. Amazing place! Will definitely be going back again and again!

Summary: I would return to this property - especially in early spring and in the fall. It was lovely to sit on the deck and hear the stream below. I wish we could have stayed longer! Instructions for operating heaters would be helpful. The steep driveway to the cabin was manageable, but you should read the owners instructions before heading in; I was glad we arrived in daylight! The LR chairs were more comfortable if you used bed pillows with them.

Summary: My husband and I loved staying here. The weather was perfect during our stay, and the cabin was truly cozy. The rustic-meets-mid-century-modern decor, with a touch of boho, was great. We also enjoyed other great details, such as the fence insulators used as door knobs.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay here. From the supplies provided, to the creek, to the wild grapes we kept getting whiffs of. We brought our dog and she loved running in the field. I found some ghost pipe under the trees which was cool. There were wild flowers next to the cabin which drew in butterflies and hummingbirds!The cabin was so clean when we arrived. The cleaning supplies used/provided were clean ingredients. I would definitely recommend this cabin/host to anyone and visit again!
